The Yankees held several events before their game against Baltimore today. One highlighted some of the players personalized t-shirts that they began creating during Spring Training. The Yankees players are Joba Chamberlain, Curtis Granderson, Andy Pettitte, C.C. Sabathia, Nick Swisher and Mark Teixeira My favorite is Granderson's shirt...I love anything with a DJ! The jerseys, T-shirts and caps designed by the Yankees players as part of the Major League Baseball Players Association’s Players Choice Signature Series will go on sale for the first time in the Stadium during tonight's Yankees game. The Yankees Players Choice Signature Series items will also be available exclusively at all New York Metro-area Modells locations and online at MLB.com. The Phillies and Twins were among other teams who participated. Proceeds of the sales go to help needy children.

My favorite thing of the day is the Yankees partnership with the organization Same Sky. The group supports and empowers women who survived the 1994 genocide in Rwanda. I am so happy to see the Yanks backing such an amazing organization!

Alexis DeJoria is such an awesome lady! She is so bada-- and calm under pressure. This weekend, the NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car Drag Racer returns to the track at Englishtown, NJ for the SuperNationals. It is the very track where she almost lost her life in a crash last year!

Alexis stopped by the studio to talk about the incident and what it will feel like to get back behind the wheel at Old Bridge Township Raceway.

She is an heiress to the Paul Mitchell fortune (her father is John Paul DeJoria). She is a mother to a 7 year old, Isabella, with a love for going fast.
