Big East Tournament: It's anyone's game... to a point
The Big East Tournament began today and while many out there might not care, there is a slew of fans packing MSG (might be more than at Knicks games) to watch their schools win. I have always liked tournaments especially when I played volleyball in college. It's a moment where teams can be on some sort of equal ground, no matter the outcome of the regular season...kind of. I say, "kind of", because there are some teams like Syracuse that will get an at-large bid to the Big Dance whether they win this tournament or not. However, a Seton Hall, who almost lost to Providence tonight (Seton Hall 109 Providence 106), could make a run and sneak in. There's a chance to"make it" if you have a ridiculous tournament. Regardless, the tourney is for bragging rights: who is the best in the East?(even if you are in Wisconsin).. Plus, rivalry always makes things exciting. Here are today's scores (USF 58 DePaul 49 & St Johns 73 UConn 51) plus the standings from the season: I think Orange is my color this Spring...and you?
