Meet Nurse Doris

It is always humbling and incredibly gratifying to meet someone like Nurse Doris. Doris Glier is 84 years strong and has been tending to jockeys at the NYRA race tracks of Aqueduct and Belmont Park for more than five decades. She has performed thousands of physicals, called dozens of wives to explain injuries, and has dealt with at least one death. She has done it with grace and poise and a genuine love for her craft. Let's be inspired by what Nurse Doris can teach us about adapting in life without truly giving up what's in your heart. It sounds cheesy as hell but Doris proves this is possible. Check out our story after the break!

Great Idea For A Story!
Really enjoy unique stories within the sportscast.
Nurse Dorothy Giler is fascinating. So many years on the job. She still has great energy, even at 84 years young. We can all learn work ethic from Dorothy.
Thanks for providing this intriguing story.
