New York Knicks: Time's Running Out...

The math is starting to catch up with the Knicks... They've played 45 games which means they have 37 left... Thirty seven games to make up 4 1/2 games in the standings to make the 8th and final playoff spot in the east... The Knicks have been highly inconsistent lately... Their last 3 games are a perfect example... They get blown out by 50 at home against the Mavericks... 50!! Then they blow out Minnesota by 27. Then they lose a nail biter by two to the Raptors. Who can figure this team out??? Hopefully Mike D'Antoni can... because he wants to get them into the playoffs since their draft pick will go to Utah anyway... Oh if they didn't have that New Jersey Net-like start this year... They'd be in such better shape! We caught up to D'Antoni and he spoke about bouncing back after that tough loss to the Raptors. Listen in!!

Can't even say they would get a lottery pick, as Isiah Thomas made sure to trade that as a parting gift to Knicks fans.
As for the thought of the Knicks making the playoffs....What's the point.
The NBA is a league where about four teams might have a chance to win a championship.
Who really cares? I have been told over and over to wait until July 1, 2010 for a savior or two in the form of a free agent. Why is anyone wasting money or time watching Guitar Jimmy's team.
I understand the Westminster Kennel Club 134th Annual Dog Show will be at Madison Square Garden on February 15 and 16. That will be the best dog show in Guitar Jimmy's building this season. The Knicks and Rangers could learn the art of winning from these highly trained dogs.

Wow... pretty cynical James... Imagine if your loyalties lied with the team across the river like mine do... You'd be pulling your hair out!

It does Chris....or should I say I have no loyalties with basketball in our town. My passion for New York Basketball is gone.
It is a complex story dating back to when the then New York Nets and Julius Winfield Erving played at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island.
Actually, if the Nets win the lottery and get John Wall (if they set an all-time record for losses and lose the John Wall lottery it will provide further proof the joke that the NBA has become), and sign a free-agent or two, the Nets can get good quickly. See, the NBA is a star league. One or two players can make a significant difference.
