Monday Mourning: Jets Clean Out Their Lockers
It’s an annual ritual from which no team is immune – it’s just a matter of when you clean out your locker at the end of the season…not if.

For the Jets, this morning came two weeks too early.
A mere 17 hours or so after their season ended in Indianapolis, the Jets held one last team meeting at their practice facility followed by that yearly rite of passage before the offseason; throwing all your belongings from the last five months in a Hefty bag and lugging it out to your car.
We were in the locker room this morning to get a sense of what these guys were feeling having come one half of football short of the Super Bowl.
While there was no doubting the team’s disappointment at their missed opportunity, the overall mood was positive, with most players reflecting on the progress the team made toward the end of the year and the potential for a similar run next season.
Take a listen to hear from Damien Woody, D’Brickashaw Ferguson, Kerry Rhodes, Mark Sanchez and Jay Feely:

These opportuniteis do not come along often. The Jets have played in three (3) AFC Championship Games since 1970 (1982, 1998, 2010).
Rex Ryan, during his press conference, indicated that he stressed to the players that they are not guaranteed to get back to this game next season. They must work hard to get back to this game.
