Jets Injuries
It's do or die time Sunday night at the Meadowlands...the Jets beat the Bengals and Gang Green is in the PLAYOFFS. A bit of a bump in the road though coming in today's injury report. The injuries could be nothing at all, just something the team has to put on paper but we are worry warts here....at least the Jets fans (like my father in law).
CB Donald Strickland will miss the game (strained quad). He injured it sacking Indy backup QB Curtis Painter last week but has already missed six games with other ailments. So the Jets have done without him this season.
P Steve Weatherford is questionable (tweaked hamstring). He actually injured it at practice and will be in the game unless he reaggrevates the injury. K Jay Feely is your backup.
DE Shaun Ellis was sent home with illness and is listed as questionable.

Lolita, I would like to extend a very Happy, Healthy and Blessed New Year 2010 to you and all that are dear to you.
I trust your husband and father-in-law have professed a New Year's Resolution to not allow their beloved New York Mets to destroy their otherwise wonderful lives. Lets Go Mets in 2010!!! Pass that positive reinforcement along to them. As Tug McGraw said, "Ya' Gotta Believe." Without belief, where are we...
As for the New York Jets, it is do or die on Sunday Night in the Meadowlands. How about that, the Jets not only play the last game ever at Giants Stadium, but it is a meaningful game. If Fred Wilpon wants the Mets to play meaningful games in September, I am sure Woody Johnson wants the Jets to play meaningful games in January. And this certianly falls into the football definition of meaningful.
Thank you for the injury updates. In week 17, I guess the Jets are in good shape from that standpoint. The big injuries to Leon Washington and Kris Jenkins came earlier in the season, so the Jets have compensated to a degree for these injuries.
Maybe this is truly a new era for the New York Jets. New Decade. New Dream. This cursed franchise could use some breaks. They got four big breaks last week. All they need to do is "Play To Win the Game," as our good friend Herman Edwards would say.
"ALWAYS BELIEVE"
