Jets Fans: Something to Think About

I know, Jets fans, you're terribly disappointed. I am too. I would have liked to see the Jets advance to their first Super Bowl since 1969. Their first Super Bowl in my lifetime. It would have been nice. But you ran up against a better team in the Colts and you lost. There's no shame in that. Really, there isn't. The shame would have been if you played a team that you were obviously much better than and found a way to lose. That would have been a shame. Then you could say "Same old Jets."
The future, as I see it, is pretty bright. Rex Ryan and Mark Sanchez, in theory, will be better. Rookie seasons under both of their belts. They can learn from their mistakes. Obviously, the defense is the strength of the team. Darrelle Revis will only get better (he's pretty good right now!!) Kris Jenkins, we hope will return from his torn ACL. Maybe GM Mike Tannenbaum will make a few moves to tweak the team and add to their depth. Kerry Rhodes' future is uncertain. Coach Rex Ryan would only say that he talked to Rhodes. He wouldn't reveal what was said in their conversation. That bears watching. Rhodes tweeted that "its not the time to discuss right now. I just wanna relax for a lil bit"
On the offensive side of the ball... Braylon Edwards is expected to be back, as are Jerricho "J-Co" Cotchery and Dustin Keller. The question is: How will Leon Washington recover from his knee injury? Also, who will emerge from the Thomas Jones, Shonn Greene twosome at running back. The running game was also one of the Jets strengths so that bears watching as well. But Jets fans, keep your heads up... as I said before, the future is bright.
I do have one question for you Jets fans. I picked the Colts to win 31-20... I was pretty darn close to the 30-17 final. My brain, not my heart, made that pick. My question to you is, if the Jets were not your favorite team, would you still have picked them to beat the Colts? I'm talking the Colts, not the Bengals and the Chargers because those were very winnable games. The Colts... with Peyton Manning who is just as good as a Ginsu knife at dicing and slicing. By the way, this is not an "I told you so." I just want to know how many of you were picking with your heart.

I picked the Jets to win the game because I felt the vibe/karma was right for a Super Bowl winning season for us long suffering Jets fans.
The way the Jets got in the playoffs. The missed field goals. It seemed like for the first time since January 12, 1969, the stars were aligned for the New York Jets.
The Jets ran into one of the greatest quarterbacks in football history having just an incredible day. A lack of a pass rush from the defensive line, which results in needing to blitz on 57% of the downs, assisted Peyton Manning. The secondary subsequently had a dreadful day.
Of course my heart had much to do with my prediction, but I thought karma would bring the Jets to the Super Bowl.
Therefore, I would say I objectively felt the Jets would win on Sunday in Indianapolis.
