WATCH: PIX Sports Investigates: Covering Chad Ochocinco In A Phone Booth
It’s my pleasure to introduce you to the debut (and very likely the last) installment of the PIX Sports Investigative Unit.
The topic of today’s investigation: Is it possible for Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis to cover the Bengals’ Chad Ochocinco in a Manhattan phone booth while inside a brown paper bag?
By now you’ve no doubt heard of Ochocinco’s rant calling out the Pro Bowl bound Revis on a conference call with local media earlier this morning.
Among the highlights was the aforementioned gem above - which got us thinking - how would such a scenario unfold? Darrelle Revis…chasing Chad Ochocinco…in a Manhattan phone booth….inside of a paper bag.
After a brief Modells/supermarket run, some expert arts and crafts and a walk up to the corner public telephone (no idea those still existed, by the way), the P.S.I.U. was ready to find out.
Here’s the hard-hitting report:
What did we learn?
1. Chad Ochocinco jerseys are not readily available in midtown Manhattan.
2. Phone booths are a lot smaller than they appear.
3. I thought Darrelle Revis would be bigger in person.
4. The only way it’s safe for me to be on TV is with a paper bag on my head (YES, I was Ochocinco)
Oh, and we also learned that Revis will probably be perfectly capable of covering Chad this Sunday.

And that Darrelle was wearing heels too! PSIU will return I am sure...there are still many people who will be trash talking. I will get my construction paper ready for another upcoming segment!
