Off the Streets...the #1 GOAL

I had such an amazing time getting to know everyone involved with the Street Soccer USA team from NYC. Coach Lawrence...Susan from Help USA (the umbrella organization that runs the homeless soccer program)...and of course the guys: Ray, Chris, Kourtney and more...what inspirational stories!!! I was humbled by their gratitude for everything given to them. I never once heard anyone of these men complain about their circumstances.

In fact, they expressed how they are working tirelessly to rise from their situations. For never touching a soccer ball, some of these guys aren't bad players either! I have always cherished my moments as an athlete, using them as building blocks for my personal and professional lives. What a joy to see this kind of thing happening!
