Mets Joke of The Day…

Here’s a new feature to The Huddle, “The Mets Joke of The Day!”

Seeing how I’m not too funny, something tells me this will be the only time the feature makes an appearance on the blog.

With that being said here it is:

So….Mets 2nd baseman Luis Castillo had a baby today!

What did the doctor say to Luis when he handed him his baby for the first time?

“TWO HANDS!!!”

Ok, that might have been lame, but I bet it made you smile.

Seriously though, how cool was it that Castillo played in the second game of the Mets’ doubleheader today?

Actually, the better question probably is; how cool is MRS. Castillo for letting Luis bolt the hospital for Citi Field?

VERY cool if you ask me. Congrats to them on the birth of a 7-pound 4-ounce girl named Adonai.

Castillo's wife...very cool! That is one woman who is like, look, I got this... Good attempt at humor but stick with the writing please.

thanks, Lolita. I didn't even crack a smile.

Hey Sal - With that comment, I think you're either saying:
a) It's not funny to take cheap shots at the Mets
or
b) that joke wasn't funny to begin with

Either way, your criticism should be directed at ME, Lolita's producer and Huddle contributor.

I was the one who made fun of your team AND/OR wasted your time with an unfunny joke.

So, you know, give blame where blame is due.

-Matt E.

**either way, thanks for reading. hopefully my lame attempt at humor didn't sour you on the blog. If it makes you feel better, one post below i rip both the Yankees and REd Sox. A Met fan's gotta love that.
