Let Pedro Pitch!

My question to all you baseball GM's out there, what are you waiting for? Pedro Martinez is out there ready and waiting to pitch and no one is willing to take a chance on him.

Take a chance, it's Pedro. He, of slight frame, and heavy slider. It's Pedro, a craftsman, a crafty craftsman, if there is such a thing. He clearly won't be the Pedro of old, but if he's half as good as he was a couple years ago, why wouldn't you take a chance on him?

I know his price tag is a little too high, but take a chance. I think, if you give him a chance he'll make you look smarter as a GM, than you already think you are. I mean Bartolo Colon is still pitching, and he's practically eaten himself out of baseball.

Unlike Bartolo, Pedro's fitness or guts have never been questioned, it was just his shoulder strength, and now since he got his shoulder all tightened up with surgery 2 years ago, he's motivated to show everyone he can still pitch, so take that chance and give the guy one more chance.

LET PEDRO PITCH, please!

It appears Pedro and his agent Fernando Cuza are in negotiations with Philadelphia. I hope the Phillies sign him. That would benefit the Mets. What has Pedro done since 2005 that would lead anyone to feel he would be successful. I hear he is throwing 93 mph. What gun are they using? He was topping out at 85-87 in New York last year.
Pedro was not successful with the Mets during his injury filled years from 2006-2008. I do not understand why any General Manager would want him on their team.
Pedro's guts? He melted in 2006 in Boston in an interleague game vs. the Red Sox. One of the most unprofessional outings ever witnessed. Pedro should retire.
