Subway Series: Weekend in Review

So after the Subway Series... A lot to chew on... Game one... A see-saw game that nobody should be proud of... If you're a Mets fan, the Castillo drop was brutal... As a Yankees fan, you'll take the win after being dusted by Boston, but why were the Yankees piling on A-Rod?? Celebrating a pop-up? Nice! They should congratulate Teixeira for doing what he was supposed to do. Hustling!! A lot of players would not have scored on that play. I will say this... Castillo was a man after the game, didn't duck the media and he made no excuses for his blunder. Kudos to him. LeBron James are ya listenin?
Saturday... Nice bounceback win if you're a Mets fan. Who exactly is Fernando Nieve? Well he's the guy who shut down the Yankees over 6 and two thirds innings... Gary Sheffield's bat works even if his legs don't. He homered in the first 2 games of the series. Sheff will have an MRI on his knee this week.
Sunday, fireworks before the game... Francisco Rodriguez gettin' in Brian Bruney's grill. Bruney had criticized Rodriguez's post game celebrations, calling them tired and embarrassing... K-Rod said "Who is Brian Bruney?" They know each other now!! As for the game itself... The Yankees blew the Mets doors off... Winning 15-0... Hideki Matsui and Robinson Cano went deep... Derek Jeter was 4 for 4 with 2 RBI... Johan Santana allowed 9 runs in 3+ innings... Johan's velocity has come into question... After the game Santana said he has had some back issues recently... We worked both locker rooms... Check out the postgame in our video player. to the right...
