So I've had a few days to digest Roger Clemens' recent radio interview on ESPN. Once again, the man WFAN's Steve Sommers playfully calls the "B-12 Rocket" vehemently denied doing steroids. Poor Roger. He's SO misunderstood and underappreciated. In Clemens' wold view, he gets less respect then Ann Coulter at a Democratic fundraiser.

If Clemens, like Pete Rose during gambling allegations before him, wants to deny he ever used HGH or steroids despite all evidence to the contrary, that's up to him. Make your own bed and lie in it-literally and figuratively. But its what Clemens is doing to a so called friend and brother that ticks me off,

On the radio airwaves, Clemens once again said "Andy misremembered" when asked why Pettitte, a teammate for 9 seasons with the Yankees and Astros, would tell Congress that Roger DID in fact confide in him about using banned substances.

Clemens would almost have been better off saying, "Andy lied." HOW does someone that you were so close to that you worked out together, decided to become teammates together (in Houston) spend time in the off season together-HOW does that person "misunderstand and misremember" something as important as steroid use when your butt is being hauled to testify before Congress? How could Clemens say, "I called Andy to tell him 'Go get 'em' during the season" and YET NEVER discuss such a great misunderstanding? What a great guy.

Interestingly, the Congressional committee said Pettitte was its most credible witness! If Clemens' is ever brought to trial for perjury, Andy would be a witness. Then we'd see how tight their bond is,
