March Madness Bracket Makeover

If you’re like me, your bracket is covered in more red ink than a 5th grader’s math test and wedged under the wobbly leg of the kitchen table.

It’s about now - between the first two rounds and the sweet 16 - that you wish you could have a second crack at that bracket. If only you knew a week ago what you know now….freakin’ North Dakota State!!

With that in mind, how do YOU see the next four rounds panning out? Is Ty Lawson’s toe making you reconsider your Carolina pick? What about the scare Pitt got from Okie State? Have you changed your mind about UCONN??….the Huskies looked unstoppable the first two rounds.

We’d love to hear how you’d revise your bracket. Send us some of your picks and tell us if you’re switching them up or (if you’re really brave) sticking with your guns.

I’ll get things started.

My final four shapes up like this…Pitt, Oklahoma, Missouri and Louisville. In the final I have Pitt/Louisville with the Panthers winning it all.

Knowing what I know now, I’d love to switch UCONN with Missouri. In fact, I like UCONN so much, I’d put them all the way to the final line….that’s right, if I could make over my March Madness bracket, I’d go HUSKIES ALL THE WAY.

This might be a topic for another blog, but I think the recent recruiting scandal will make the Huskies STRONGER. A “bring the team closer together” type of thing. They’ll rally around Jim Calhoun and his staff.

As for other changes, nothing major. I had neither Kansas nor Michigan State in the sweet 16, so put me on record as taking the Spartans (Kansas has to lose SOMETIME!!).

I still like Missouri over Memphis, though I’m getting nervous. As for my Tar Heels - I’m a proud alum - I’m hoping they’ll advance, of course, but I picked Oklahoma to move on because I think everyone in my pool was banking on me going with the Heels. So I’ll keep it that way.

So what would you change about your bracket? Can you swallow your pride and admit you made a mistake or are you stubbornly sticking with Syracuse all the way to the final (can you tell I’m not big on the Orange)?
