The atmosphere in Port St. Lucie with the Mets is a slight bit more relaxed that across the state in Tampa with the Yankees and A-Rod. Our Lolita Lopez caught up with Carlos Beltran who reported to camp on Tuesday. Listen in.

Carlos Beltran sounded optimistic and positive in his approach to the 2009 baseball season. He added some humor when reacting to Cole Hamels comments and Francisco Rodriguez "Team to Beat" proclamation from earlier in the week. He was complimentary toward the organization related to them adding pieces each year to be competitive. The usually guarded Carlos Beltran displayed some personality. He feels healthy with his knees. I think Carlos will have the best year of his career in 2009. Great session with Lolita Lopez and the rest of the New York media.
