Why did Barkley Blow through the Stop Sign?

Credit TheSmokingGun.com for this one. We all know that NBA Great Charles Barkley was stopped the other day in Scottsdale, Arizona for driving under the influence of alcohol. Barkley, always the straight shooter, didn't try to lie to the police. In the written report, police say Barkley admitted to having a couple of drinks. Ah, but his admissions didn't stop there.

No indeed! When asked where Barkley was going in such a rush, he said he was going to spend some time with a woman. And I'm cleaning that up, if ya know what I mean. He had picked up that woman just before the officers stopped him. What was on the agenda for the evening? I'll leave that to your imagination. Let's just say that if he were driving a Hummer SUV it would be an appropriate vehicle. Now I don't know if it was a business proposition. I guess not since he was not charged with prostitution. Barkley has many times said he wants to run as a gubernatorial candidate in Alabama. So is this how a man who wants to be governor should act? Eliot Spitzer says.. Why Not?
