A Bowl For The Birds, Or Men Of Steel?

This Sunday marks the REAL end of the football season. TThe AFC and NFC Championship games, what the NFL calls 'Championship Sunday', is the last staple of NFL football for about 8 months. The Super Bowl, with all the over hype, 7 hours of pregame, halftime show and analysis of stupid commercials is all about everything BUT the game. The Pro Bowl. Please. The NFL has the most useless of the 4 North American All Star games.

My Picks:
Cardinals 24, Eagles 20: This is more of a heart pick. As a Giants fan, there's no way in Hades I can root for the Eagles. Still, who thought the Cardinals would be here? Key: Which team runs the football better? That's a cliche, I know. But in this case, true. Last week the Giants bottled up Westbrook and STILL lost. But in the climate controlled indoors in Glendale, Kurt Warner will need his running game so that the Eagle blitzes and pass rushes don't kill him.
Steelers 17, Ravens 10: It'll be cold, maybe snowy in Pittsburgh. The Ravens won last week, but their defense looked old and slow against the turnover prone Titans. Who makes the big mistake? Big Ben or the rookie Joe Flacco, who dreamed of playing in Pittsburgh?
Other picks:
Lolita Lopez: Cardinals and Steelers. It's time for the Birds (make that Eagles and Ravens) to go down!
Sports Producer Chris Jacobs: Chris says it'll be an all Pennsylvania Super Bowl: Steeers in a struggle over the Ravens 14-10
Eagles 37-31: It'll be a shootout in the desert. Donovan McNabb gets the last laugh on the nay sayers ready to tun he and Andy Reid out of Philadelphia. First, the Phillies, now the Eagles...can the Sixers be far behind?
Sports Producer Caroline Kovach: Cardinals and Steelers.
Sports Producer Matt Leach Cardinals and Steelers. Matt's upset his beloved Bucs dismissed coach Jon Gruden today.
News Anchor: Jim Watkins: Eagles and Steelers, with this quote: 'Who knew? Six weeks ago Donovan McNabb was 'Dead Quarterback Walking. Now he's leading Philly to the Super Bowl."
News Anchor Kaity Tong: The Eagles (she likes their music!) and the Ravens-you can quote that evermore
Despite her appearance as Tim Tebow in our BCS Championship re-enactment, News and Web writer Stephanie Barish declined to give her picks because she suddenly claims she doesn't like football. I thought Stephanie did a great job with the BCS thing -despite throwing righthanded in our re-enactment and Tebow is a lefty :)

I believe the Eagles and Ravens are going to win. The Eagles are red hot right now(althougi dislike them with every fiber in my body) and the Ravens were extremly close to beating the steelers before and now i believe they will try and win this time and play even better than they did before.
Way to go Caroline, Bobby and Matt L.! We got it right. Is it too early to call the Cardinals? Ohhh...I am going all out!
