O'Hara on Texas Stadium: "Good Riddance!"

The Giants visit to Dallas Sunday marks the last time Big Blue will play at famed Texas Stadium. The home of the Cowboys since 1971, Dallas is upgrading to a new $1 billion building beginning next season.

I took an informal poll of the Giant locker room Wednesday and generally discovered the iconic stadium (with a hole in the roof so God can watch the Cowboys) won’t be missed.

And for one Giant in particular, the switch can’t come soon enough. Here’s Shaun O’Hara’s reaction to my question.

For the record, Amani Toomer gave off similar vibes when I asked him about his last game in Texas Stadium and Eli Manning, well, he gave me a standard Eli answer: “We just want to get a win.” Thanks Eli.

I thought I was on to something with this line of questioning, but apparently I was way off. So far off, in fact, that on his way out of the locker room, O’Hara went out of his way to make fun of me for asking if he felt any “nostalgia.”

It was a lighthearted jab, both literally and figuratively (he poked me in the ribs), but I’d be surprised if not a single Giant heads out to the field pre-game and takes a picture standing on one of those famed Cowboy stars (hopefully they show a little more class than T.O. did way back when).
