Jets React To 31-27 Win Over Buffalo
The Jets kept their division title hopes alive Sunday with a comeback win against the feisty Bills.
Gang Green needed several huge defensive stands late in the fourth quarter to compensate for a stymied offense.
The play of the game, and possibly the year, came with 1:54 seconds to go in the game and the Jets trialing 27-24. Shaun Ellis, the longest tenured Jet, scored his first career touchdown on a fumble recovery, propelling the Jets to the 31-27 win.
We caught up with a few of the main players in Sunday’s win and got their take on Gang Green’s killer comeback.
In the video below, Shaun Ellis talks about his game-winning touchdown and whether or not he thinks it saved the Jets’ season.
Brett Favre, who struggled at times during Sunday’s win, talks about the prevailing theme in the Jets locker room.
Leon Washington, who scored a 47-yard touchdown just before halftime, talks about how he knew the Jets were going to win Sunday even before the opening kick.
Thomas Jones, whose 15th total touchdown of the year set a Jets single-season record, talks about his accomplishment. The rushing score was Jones’ 13th of the year and 8th straight game with a touchdown, both franchise records as well.
