Wille Randolph Benched Again

How ' bout that Willie Randolph.
Everyone always knew he was a nice guy, and this time, it was proved. Nice guys don't always finish last.
After his very unceremonious dismissal by the Mets, it looked as though it would be a long time before Willie would get back to baseball.
He tried! He interviewed for the vacant Millwaukee Brewers job, for the third time, and for the third time he did not get it. But then fate smiled down on Willie.
Willie, who has been known to be a mediocre interviewee at best, is however, a good friend and a classy guy at the same time. And that's where things turned for the better for Willie.
Willie Randolph was a finalist for the Brewers manager's job, but Ken Macha got it. Willie, being the classy guy he is, called to congratulate Macha, and they got talking. And what started out as a," congrats ole' friend," call, ended up turning into a pseudo job interview, and Willie didn't even know it. But Macha did, and a couple hours after the original call from Willie, Macha called Randolph back and asked him to be his bench coach.
How cool is that? One classy move, deserves another!
Macha said he'd love to have Willie's national league knowledge on his bench and Willie gets the opportunity to get back into coaching before his Mets checks run out at the end of next year.
A lesson to everyone, whenever you go through a a job interview, call or email that potential employer to thank them, even if you don't think you're going to get the job.

Go Willie! You'll be great for the Brewers.
