Madison Hedgecock – The Giants’ Anonymous Superstar

It’s no secret the Giants rushing game has been off the charts this season. But a critical component to Big Blue’s success has gone largely unnoticed.

We’re talking about fullback Madison Hedgecock, who’s having a Pro Bowl-caliber year. Hedgecock, though classified as a back, is essentially a fleet-footed lineman. He’s a battering ram who paves the way for Brandon Jacobs and crew.

But the average fan might overlook Hedgecock’s importance…and it’s hard to blame ‘em. The 4th-year pro out of North Carolina has ZERO carries this season, and only three receptions.

Though he doesn’t touch the ball often, his impact as one of the NFL’s premier run-blockers is of much greater significance to the Giants.

How much does Big Blue value the big blocker? Take a listen.

I love him! I'm an average Giants fan, and I notice him everytime I catch a fleeting glance of him :-)
