Batter up! A female knuckleball pitcher, with a side arm motion, from Japan will be playing for a minor league team in the United States.
Eri Yoshida, an 18-year-old pitcher signed with the Chico Outlaws of the Golden Baseball League . The team said she will report to spring training next month. The 10-team Golden Baseball League is an independent minor league with teams in California, Arizona and Canada. Bring it on Girl!

Oh, no she didn't... Well, actually, yes, she did. Conservative talk-radio personality Tammy Bruce did indeed call our President & his wife "trash" today on the radio while guest-hosting The Laura Ingraham Show.
Some may be incensed, some may yawn, and yet some lucky folks won't ever hear about this. Nevertheless, it's probably gonna get some big play nationally, so might as well give a listen now so you can yap with all your equally informed co-workers & friends later tonight and tomorrow.

Whether or not President Obama's address to a joint session of Congress last night provided the reassurance the American people need and want, there were definitely a few lofty moments that prompted double-takes.
Did he just say the United States of America invented the automobile? General consensus is that it was Karl Benz of Germany. Will the housing plan be able to differentiate between irresponsible homeowners who tried to live outside their means and the honest citizens who are genuinely victims of the housing crisis? Sounds like a monumental task to make those distinctions. Here's a good attempt from the AP to separate fact from fiction in the presidential address on the U.S. economy.
