There are many laws and rules when it comes to holy matrimony. Kari Nagu, a teacher in Florida, has broken each and every one of them.

Nagu, a kindergarten teacher, was teaching her class the letters of the alphabet, but instead of just telling the students that the letter "Q" is always followed by the letter "U," she decided to show them instead. Kari Nagus, the kindergarten teacher, joined two of her students in holy matrimony. She performed the entire process of a typical wedding.

Each child in the class played a different role in the wedding: the bride, groom, usher, ring bearer, flower girl, bridesmaid, carpet roller (laying a long sheet of yellow paper) and wedding photographer. They were each instructed to arrive to school in their finest clothing, and ready to play their part.

The wedding began with the bride's father escorting her down the aisle to give her away. (The wedding guests included classmates, parents, and other relatives.) Continuing with the procedure, Nagus used the wedding ceremony to illustrate to her students that the letters Q and U always go together and depend on each other to make the sound "qwa." She has been staging these Q - U weddings for seven years. "Part of our curriculum is teaching every single letter," said Nagus. "Q is a very difficult letter. It's hard to remember, a hard sound."

This ceremony is used to show the "union" of the two letters.

Wedding proposals can come at any time and any place. And with video recording on cell phones, I think we've pretty much seen some memorable ones.

So saying this particular proposal is "impressive" should mean that it is extremely unique.

Corey Goldfeder's "back to the Future" themed proposal is said to be that impressive. Using a green screen made of disposable napkins and some borrowed chroma-key equipment, Corey set about replacing Michael J. Fox with footage of himself in a Marty McFly costume. He also dubbed conversation with Doc Brown about whether or not the time was right for him to propose to his girlfriend.

He then rented a local movie theater and had the owner sign a fake signage.

As Corey and his girlfriend went to go watch the film, on came the proposal scene. As his onscreen persona looked out into the audience, the real Corey got down on one knee and proposed, while their friends and family popped out from the corners of the theater.

This is the perfect way for a couple who met at a costume ball dressed as a girl from the 50's and Marty McFly, to get engaged.

Losing your loved one is already a hard process. Imagine finding out that the funeral home that you chose to have your loved one buried was stacking the bodies.

Investigators found out that one Maryland funeral home had stacked about 40 bodies on top of each other, leaking fluid, in a garage! Chambers Funeral Home & Crematorium in Riverdale, Maryland has since lost their license.

Some of the bodies were cadavers donated to a local university for research, while other bodies came from other funeral homes. Instead of being cremated, investigators were alarmed at how they were stored in the garage while awaiting cremation.

Upon investigation, found was a large pile of 12 by 12 feet of body bags with human remains on the floor of the garage in front of a removal van. There was visible leakage from the body bags including a bad stench.

Due to the leakage from the bags, the writings were illegible and hence unable to identify the remains.

No word yet on where the funeral home will get their license back.

Imagine being fired from a job for your genes. No, not the jeans that you wear, but the genes that make up who you are.

That's exactly what happened to one woman from Connecticut.

Pamela K. Fink claims that she was fired from her job when she opted to undergo a mastectomy after testing positive for for one of the genes that is linked to an increased risk for breast cancer. Working for about four years for Stamford-based Mxenergy, Fink was recently in her local newspaper for receiving a flowing review from her employer, according to the Stamford Advocate newspaper. But things made a turn in the wrong direction soon after the article.

With no explanation, the 39-year-old was told her position had been eliminated. Outraged and confused, she filed a complaint stating that she was fired due to the result of her genetic test. She told the state Commission on Human Rights and the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, that her termination violated the federal Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act, in which it prevents companies from using someone genetic background to hire, fire, or promote.

Fink has two sisters that are breast cancer survivors. So with that knowledge, she opted to get a preventative mastectomy last year. Upon return from her medical leave, many of her responsibilities were taken away, and the assessment of her work went from positive to negative.

The newspaper reported that Mxenergy "emphatically and categorically" denied the allegations, and that they have a policy not to discuss personal matters.

  The company did not comment.

Recently, there have been countless reports indicating how hard it is for women and black women specifically to find a man. Not too long ago there was a summit in Atlanta called, “Why Can’t Successful Black Women Find a Man” trying to get to the bottom of the situation with guest speakers, including Steve Harvey, Hill Harper and Sherry Shepherd.

There are many answers to that question but one television anchor in Florida took the situation into her own hands. Her name is Julia Yarbough, formerly an anchor for NBC6 in Miami. Yarbough, at the peak of her career and making six figures, leaves it all and hits the road with her best friend, similar to Oprah and Gayle’s road trip, the difference is Oprah wanted to see the beauty of America and Julia wants to find the beauties of America.

We live in a society where people just hope for the best, online date or head to the nearest club for a significant other. But, Yarbough says it best, “Its not desperation, just gotta make things happen. Check out her website, http://site.highwaytoahusband.com/Home.html, to read her trials and tribulations and take a page from her book sometimes you just gotta make things happen.

A piece of hip hop died Monday morning with the passing of rapper Guru. After a two-month hospitalization, the legendary rapper, born Keith Elam, lost his life after a long struggle with cancer.

The 43 year old MC had been battling cancer for over a year. He tried to keep the matter private. While news leaked that he had been admitted to the hospital due to a heart attack, previous reports said he suffered from anoxia, effects from a lengthy history of asthma and lung problems.
The rapper never got to clear up the issues. However, he wrote this statement to his fans:

"I, Guru, am writing this letter to my fans, friends and loved ones around the world. I have had a long battle with cancer and have succumbed to the disease. I have suffered with this illness for over a year. I have exhausted all medical options. I have a non-profit organization called Each One Counts dedicated to carrying on my charitable work on behalf of abused and disadvantaged children from around the world and also to educate and research a cure for this terrible disease that took my life. I write this with tears in my eyes, not of sorrow but of joy for what a wonderful life I have enjoyed and how many great people I have had the pleasure of meeting.

My loyal best friend, partner and brother, Solar, has been at my side through it all and has been made my health proxy by myself on all matters relating to myself. He has been with me by my side on my many hospital stays, operations, doctors visits and stayed with me at my home and cared for me when I could not care for myself. Solar and his family is my family and I love them dearly and I expect my family, friends, and fans to respect that, regardless to anybody's feelings on the matter. It is my wish that counts. This being said I am survived by the love of my life, my sun KC, who I trust will be looked after by Solar and his family as their own. Any awards or tributes should be accepted, organized approved by Solar on behalf myself and my son until he is of age to except on his own.

I do not wish my ex-DJ to have anything to do with my name likeness, events tributes etc. connected in anyway to my situation including any use of my name or circumstance for any reason and I have instructed my lawyers to enforce this. I had nothing to do with him in life for over 7 years and want nothing to do with him in death. Solar has my life story and is well informed on my family situation, as well as the real reason for separating from my ex-DJ. As the sole founder of GangStarr, I am very proud of what GangStarr has meant to the music world and fans. I equally am proud of my Jazzmatazz series and as the father of Hip-Hop/Jazz. I am most proud of my leadership and pioneering efforts on Jazzmatazz 4 for reinvigorating the Hip-Hop/Jazz genre in a time when music quality has reached an all time low. Solar and I have toured in places that I have never been before with GangStarr or Jazzmatatazz and we gained a reputation for being the best on the planet at Hip-Hop/Jazz, as well as the biggest and most influential Hip-Hop/Jazz record with Jazzmatazz 4 of the decade to now. The work I have done with Solar represents a legacy far beyond its time. And we as a team were not afraid to push the envelope. To me this is what true artists do! As men of honor we stood tall in the face of small mindedness, greed, and ignorance. As we fought for music and integrity at the cost of not earning millions and for this I will always be happy and proud, and would like to thank the million fans who have seen us perform over the years from all over the world. The work I have done with Solar represents a legacy far beyond its time and is my most creative and experimental to date. I hope that our music will receive the attention it deserves as it is some of the best work I have done and represents some of the best years of my life."

Guru rose to fame in the 80's as the frontman to the legendary duo, Gangstarr. The group released the classic single, "Words I Manifest," back in 1989. However, after releasing six albums, the duo split in 2003. After the split, Guru went on to pursue a solo career with 7 Grand Records.

"The world has lost one of the best MCs and hip-hop icons of all-time -- my loyal best friend, partner, and brother, Guru," Solar, Guru's business partner, said in a statement. "Guru has been battling cancer for well over a year and has lost his battle! This is a matter that Guru wanted private until he could beat it, but tragically, this did not happen. The cancer took him. Now the world has lost a great man and a true genius.

Rest in peace GURU!

PIX 11 News recently issued Motorola Droid PDAs to its reporters in order to further improve our newsgathering and news reporting capabilities. But how should I wear this thing? I'd appreciate your help to know for sure.

The Droid is a capable newsgathering tool. Among other impressive functions, it allows a person to stream live video out. In other words, in a pinch, I could do a liveshot from any location in the world from which I can pick up a cellphone signal.

So it's clear that having this device is helpful. What's not clear is how to sport one.

Here's the situation: I already have a company-issued Blackberry (I use its Nextel push-to-talk feature to stay in touch with liveshot crews I work with). That Bberry sits in my right pocket. Alongside it is my personal cellphone, a basic Samsung flip phone, so my right pocket is stuffed already. What do I do with my Droid, then? Wear it in its holster? Put it in the left pocket? Or in the right pocket where all of the other devices are now?

Check out these three photos above (in order of left pocket, holster and right pocket) and let me know what looks best. I am no fashionplate. In fact, I'd describe my style as geeky chic, to be kind. At the same time, I don't want to look like an electronics pack mule. Your comments -- your aid, really -- may help prevent me from making a total fashion faux pas as I go about doing my work trying to bring you the news and information you need.

One last note: the photographer who took these pictures feels that I look good no matter how I wear my electronic devices. That photographer is my wife. No matter what you think, even if you slam all of my looks, I can't wait to hear your opinion.

Have you ever wondered while watching an interview what if the guest just walked off set and cursed out the host? Wonder no more.

André Visagie could be considered the African version of Bill O'Reilly. On Africa 360, a current affair program, that airs in South Africa. The guest and correspondent discussed black and white relations. During the taping the guest becomes belligerent because the hosts keeps cutting him off while answering questions.

I always think to myself what do guests really think when hosts ask uncomfortable questions. Usually you see the guests are cool or they squirm or do nothing at all but rarely ever do you see them have an actually outburst then proceed to threaten the host.

Now that's must see TV. (Watch the video after the jump).

      EXCLUSIVE PIX SURVEY

The health care reform act is considered landmark legislation that will impact all Americans. But a vast majority profess being ignorant when it comes to understanding the bill. Though the House of Representatives voted 219 to 212 to pass the bill, we were curious to learn how many of the Congressional members from the tri-state area, actually read the voluminous bill...all 2, 407 pages.

In all, we reached the offices of 31 representatives, and left messages for 10, 8 promised to get back to us, 1 asked us to send an e-mail request, and we succeeded in getting responses or quasi responses from 11.

Congressman Charles Rangel admitted he hadn't read every page, but read enough of it to vote intelligently. "Truth is," he said, I was on the committee that helped write the bill."

Republican Peter King, who voted against the measure was quite direct, "No, I have not read it," he told me. He said he read parts of it, particularly those that will affect New York. He noted that he had members of his staff scrutinize the entire bill and give him a detailed analysis.

Congressman Joe Crowley's Chief of Staff had an answer as to whether or not he read the entire health care bill, but did not want to go on the record. Neither did Westchester Congresswoman Nydia Valasquez office.

From New Jersey Congressman Frank Pallone Jr. we got an affirmative answer from Erin, his press secretary, who said "absolutely, he read it." Another Garden State Congressman, Rush Holt reviewed the entire document with his staff, according to his Communications Director Nat Goldberg.

We reached out to Connecticut Congressman Jim Himes. Evana in his Washington office made it quite clear, "We don't participate in surveys."

Staten Island Congressman Mike McMahon, one of 34 Democrats who voted against the bill, did read the bill, according to his press rep Lauren Amendolara.

New York Congressman Anthony Wiener's Press Secretary Dave Arnold was forthright, "Yeah he read it. He helped write it."

Congressman Edolphus Towns was candid. "No, I haven't read the whole bill, but most of it," he advised. He said he relied on his staff to study and review it with him.

Congressman Gregory Meeks was in a hurry when I reached him. He admitted reading key revisions of the bill. "I focused on the reconciliation portions." He abrupted noted, "I'm on a plane, they're closing the doors, gotta go."

I am still waiting for callbacks from those who have promised to call and those for whom we have left messages. I'd like to hear from Representatives Maloney, McCarthy, Ackerman, Nadler, Serrano, Engel, Clarke, Adler, Rothman, LoBiondo, Garrett, Frelinghuysen, Payne, Pascrell, Murphy, Sires. Call me and let me know if you have read the entire health care bill, all 2, 407 pages. My office number is 212 210-2495. I'm waiting.

A footnote here. One member of Congress who asked not to be quoted, admitted "If we read every bill we vote on, we would never get anything done." He and others rely on their staff members to fully scrutinize lengthy pieces of legislation and provide analysis afterwards.
