The Baby Shower Was A Blast & I'm Taking A Babymoon Next Week

Hi Everyone,

The shower was an absolute blast. There were about 100 people in my parents backyard. (Don't ask!) :)

I want to share a few pictures with you. I hope you all enjoy the fun. We had Staten Island Chuck play some music, but somehow it turned into a dance party. This wasn't your average baby shower. In fact, it turned into how to make a baby party! Or as one of my producers put it, Suki's Rock'in Baby Shower. Seriously though, I think we may have redefined a baby shower.

Other than that, the baby is huge and, well, I'm starting to feel that way too. Black is turning into a good friend of mine. Recently, more people are telling me that I'm having a baby girl. I been so prepared for a boy that this is really throwing me for a loop. I don't know why because I've been saying all along that I really don't care what I have just as long as it's healthy.

Next week, I will be taking a "babymoon" on the Jersey Shore. I really need some time off to get my head together and just enjoy some quiet time my husband. I hope you don't miss me too much! :)

I will still be doing the Suki Mama Mania giveaway so don't worry. The prizes are coming. Also what did you think about Suki Mama Mania?

All the best.
Sukanya

I just saw your show on car seats and I wanted to let you know that NJ State Police has trained troopers who will install your car seat correctly for you . Every so often they hold car seat safety installs and will also give correct seats to those in need.
My son-in-law has been trained in this field and would be more then happy to assist you .

Hi Suki,
I am the mother of three, one boy and two girls. All the experiences were different. My first daughter was born in half an hour. I was in labor the longest with my first born and deliberately bawled down the place for they did not want to call my obgyn. I had refused to push on their instructions and when my obgyn came and examined me he realised that the cord was around my son's neck a few times for I have a long umbilical cord when I'm pregnant. Pushing could have strangled my child and I would have gone balistic. I too had the instinct that my first born was a born do not let anyone disuade you from that feeling. All the best to you my dear. Everything will be okay and you and your husband would have a bouncing, healthy, baby boy. Enjoy your pregnancy. It is a wonderful experience.

congratulations Suki. you will be greatly missed. you bring a personal touch to the news that i just can't start my day without. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers for a very fast and safe delivery. I saw you this morning and thought you look like you are having a boy. i would go with my gut feeling if i were you. i did and was right 2 times. the third one i had mixed feelings about. a little advice....labor and delivery is hardly ever what you expect. (just like the movie "Knocked Up") can't wait to your little one is finally here. Good luck ;~)

Just saw your pics. My husband and I have 1 son who will be 17 July. I can remember yesterday giving birth to him.Glad you took the birthing classes, just try to listen to the nurses in the labor room. Now a days breastfeeding is very important,so I am advocating that. Make sure your husband comes with you to the pediatrican the first few times especially when the baby starts getting the immunizations. Always bring his immunization card so the height, weight, head curcumference, and vaccines can be put on it. Alot of parents misplaced it (luckily I work in a hospital clinic that is computerized and all vaccines are in the computer)The parents get frustrated when they need records ( for daycare, school, and college ). Cant wait to see what you have. The both of you will do go. You got a great support system your families including your tv family.

If you have any questions just email

Hey Suki,

Congrats to you and your family! Having a baby is the most special thing that God can give you. I've learned that you don't know love until you have a baby. Theres no way to describe the joy that a baby brings. Its the best feeling in the world. Your big day is coming soon and it will be fine. I have 2 boys and with my first son I was in labor for 5 hrs it was fast. With my second son I was in labor for 2 hrs. Everyone has different experiences so the best experience will be your own. Good luck to you and your hubby. May you have a beautiful, healthy baby.

God bless!
