It's Week 25, I'll Be Learning A Lot From 'Real Birth' In NYC

Hi Everyone,
Things are going great!! We are checking things off our list. Registry done. Birthing classes will be done.
We found a great place called Real Birth in New York City. They offer classes in everything from delivery, child care, breast feeding and pain management. If you are thinking about any of these issues, check out their website. I will tell you, I am looking forward to taking some classes though I know nothing can really prepare you for the baby.
On the baby front, the baby is moving a ton and it is such a wonderful feeling. I'm trying to imagine what this little thing is going to be like and I have to tell you it makes me so excited.
I have one more major test for gestational diabetes in two weeks and then I hope it will be smooth sailing. I hope you have a great weekend. And thank you for all your e-mails.

26: It's The Final Week Of My Second Trimester

Hi Everyone,
This is the final week of my second trimester. I'm feeling great and things are already starting to happen. I'm definitely in the nesting phase and anything you put near me will be organized, cleaned and put away. I think I'm driving my husband crazy :) Well, I'm sure I already did that along time ago. Ha!!
In regards to the baby, its eyelids have finally open and I guess my little one is taking a look at it's tiny surrounds. I hope the baby is comfortable and happy. It's weird but I worry about everything. Am I eating enough vegetables and fish? Am I exercising enough? I guess this is the begining of feeling guility all the time. Welcome to motherhood, hugh!
Speaking of all the time, this baby is very active and it kicks all the time. In fact, something funny happened this week. Eric asked the baby to kick once if it was a girl or twice if it was a boy. Well, the baby responded and it kicked once. I could not believe it and it made me laugh out loud. We still don't know the sex of the baby so this was our non-scientific experiment.
On a side note, I've also been addicted to the Discovery show, Babies: Special Delivery. They're kind of scary to watch so I'm hoping those classes at Real Birth will help out.
I'll keep you posted and let's hope the rain stops and the sun comes out.
Happy Mother's Day to all you moms and moms-to-be out there. I'll be thinking of you.

Week 27 Brings Braxton Hicks Contractions

Hi Everyone,
Here we are at Week 27 and things are going great. I'm starting to feel Braxton Hicks and, by the way, what a crazy feeling.
Braxton Hicks are simply the pre-contractions that prepare you for labor and delivery and well it is a reminder everyday of what's to come. The baby is also moving a ton and sometimes I feel so much pressure, it's an incredible feeling. It's kind of like getting the wind knocked out of you.
Other than that, Eric and I are doing great. My mother is throwing a shower so preparations are underway for that. I will get some pictures up when that happens.
Hope you all have a great weekend and I will see you soon.

My Baby Already Has Hair!

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all doing great. I'm on Week 28. It's hard to believe how quickly time is flying by. So many things happening emotionally. Talk about being overwhelmed sometimes! The body is starting to feel heavier and I definitely have the pregnant woman waddle :) . Sometimes, when I catch myself I have try to straighten up but it's hard to do. LOL
The baby is growing and I feel it every day. I can't seem to wrap my mind around what is going to happen in a few short week.
I just read a book and it said in the 28th week, the baby already has hair and has about 2% to 3% body fat. And the book tells me to talk to baby all the time. So if you see me talking to myself, I'm really talking to the baby. Ha!
I did have a crazy three-hour class on breast feeding at Real Birth in NYC. It's amazing what the body is going to do. I wish I could get into everything I learned but I can't. Let's just say they don't call it a miracle for nothing :)
Anyway, have a great weekend. Hope your Memorial Day will be a good one.

Just Interviewed Mom Of 3 Angie Harmon, She's So Down-To-Earth

Hi Everyone,
Hope your week went well. I just finished an interview with Angie Harmon. What a beautiful woman and to think that she is a mother of three. Ugh... I can't even imagine looking that beautiful all the time. Some people are truly blessed and she is so down-to-earth. We can all aspire right?
This week has been really interesting. There were lots of things to do. My husband and I will be taking a marathon baby class this weekend at Real Birth. It's not something I'm looking forward to but I have so many questions and such little time that I have to get to work.
Other than that, we are doing great. The baby is getting bigger and there is no question that I am pregnant.
Hope you all have a great weekend!
