My Baby News!

Hi Everybody,
So, I guess the cat is out of the bag now. I wasn't just putting on weight for no reason at all :)
My husband and I are very excited to share this news with all of you. Right now, I'm 18 weeks pregnant. The baby weighs about 9 ounces and according to my OB/GYN, the baby is in the 98th percentile when it comes to height and weight.
We are not finding out the sex, though I feel in my heart it is a baby boy. I guess we will just have to wait and see on August 11th what God has planned for us. All I can say is that we are hoping for a happy and healthy baby.
Thanks for always being so supportive of me and I hope to keep you posted about this new adventure into motherhood.

Hi Everyone,
Thank you so much for all your prayers and e-mails. I read each and every one of them and was so very touched by everything you all had to say.
You're all very nice to say I had a glow because I feel like a small shed these days :) Not quiet a house yet, lol.
I will keep you posted in regards to the baby and everything that comes with that. I'm going to start blogging and will keep you posted on anything else that comes to mind regarding the baby. I need your help so give me some ideas. Tell me what you think.
All the best,
Sukanya
At 19 Weeks, I'm Really Starting To Show

Hi Everyone,
We are at week 19 and I am feeling great. As you can see from this picture, I'm really starting to show. It's kind of crazy and beautiful watching your body expand this way.
The baby is doing well and I have a slew of doctor appointments next week. I will keep you posted on what is going on. I'm looking forward to picking out names, finding a house for all of us to live in and shop for some new clothes.
I will keep you all posted week to week as to how I am doing. More to come!!!
Thanks,
Sukanya
Week 20 Is The Calm Before The Storm

Hi Everyone,
Week 20 is here and my belly isn't the only thing that's growing. In fact, I went bra shopping and, well, let's just say I'm almost as big as my cubicle mate Jill :) LOL.
According to the books, I should have gained 10 pounds by now and will be gaining a pound a week. Oh, the things to look forward to. Instead of a small house, I'll start looking like a shed.
The baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces and is about 6 1/2 inches long from the head to heal, though the doctor already said my baby is off the charts.
The books also says that the baby is swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).
I'm hanging in there and so far so good. My husband and I are looking forward to buying a house soon so junior will have a place to sleep and relax. I know for a fact this is the calm before the storm, so I'm trying to enjoy the second trimester before my ankles and hormones start to swell.
I hope all is well with you. Till next week.
All the best,
Sukanya
