Cathie Black steps down as NYC School Chancellor. Mayor announces this after meeting with her this morning. "It was in the best interests of the city," they agreed.

Lately my food has been under attack from city government: no salt, no soda, no sugary snacks.

Today, as the Health Department moves to a new building in Queens, I get a look at a city brochure produced by the department detailing what foods can and cannot be served at meetings and events.

I do want to be clear: we need to be smart about what we eat. I actually like spinach.

I've been reading all your messages and there are some great ideas there.

I also went back to Queensbridge with Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer because I heard the housing authority made some necessary repairs.

The people in charge are expecting two to six inches. I'm typing it out because we need to realize it won't be as big as the last week. But they are even more aware.
