Why did New York Governor David Paterson replace an MTA board member who’s been a vocal critic of fare hikes and service cuts?

That’s the question I put to Paterson on Thursday after Norman Seabrook was not reappointed to the board. The State Senate affirmed the Governor's other choices this week.

Mocker in the Blizzard: Officially Official

trucks%20out.jpg
Carlos reports this shot from the Lower East side. Trucks are rolling this evening. What's up in your neighborhood. Many complaints about unplowed streets and abandoned cars.

transit%20hq.jpg
Even Transit HQ is surrounded. Kenton sent this pic.

This came in tonight from Nancy: "Doesn't our Manhattan-loving mayor know that his constituents in Brooklyn, Staten Island, Queens, and The Bronx need snow plowing too? All boroughs except Manhattan are still buried under 2+ feet of snow well after the end of the blizzard. What about the rest of us who need to get to work or God-forbid have a medical or other emergency? Greg, please tell Mr. Bloomberg that votes and taxes come from all New Yorkers. BTW: 311 isn't bothering to pick up at all now. Is that the city's way of keeping down the number of complaints about Mayor Bloomberg's ABOMINAL SNOW PLAN?

10:30 PM I'm on it. I need pictures and reports. I'm looking at everything and reading everything. Keep 'em coming (mocker@wpix.com) and post here too http://www.wpix.com/wpix-snow-storm-gallery-ii-122710,0,4265487.ugcphotogallery#

Mike R. (a different Mike from the video, but let's hope he's paying attention too) is still reporting abandoned cars, unplowed and blocked streets tonight in BX (600 block of Baker Ave, Bronx) and trouble for senior citizens in the area.

Compare and contrast: Are you wondering what the Mayor's block looks like? I found a picture on the NYTimes site. Check out his block this morning after the click...
