It's Brooklyn in a bottle and Tamsen took a whiff of this new fragrance. Perfumery Bond No. 9, the company behind such fragrances as Central Park and Little Italy, has created another New York-inspired scent simply called "Brooklyn."

The bottle for Brooklyn was designed by a local New York artist. Tamsen met up with artist Shawn Lovejoy the flagship store in NoHo to learn more about his inspiration. Throughout the month of March the company has been searching for other designers and artists to create bottle designs for this newest scent. Two winners will have their designs produced and put on store on shelves. Look for them later this year.

PIX's Tamsen Fadal visits Intervale Green, Women's Housing and Economic Development Corporation's (WHEDCo) newest, green affordable housing complex. It will become home to 400 low-income and formerly homeless New Yorkers.

Built on a devastated lot in the South Bronx at the site of President Jimmy Carter’s historic visit in 1977, WHEDCo’s design standards for Intervale Green reflect the organization’s belief that living somewhere beautiful can have a profound impact on a family’s mental and physical health.

The complex brings half an acre of vegetation and new street level commercial activity to the community. Residents will enjoy two courtyards and green roofs for vegetables and gardens, and the neighborhood will enjoy a dramatic public sculpture garden.

The wait is over for the launch of the only ice skating rink in lower Manhattan. Seaport Ice is now open, with the skating season scheduled to continue through the end of March, on Pier 17 at The Seaport. And Tamsen could not wait to hit the ice. She learns more about the new facility plus a few tricks from the skate patrol.

The rink operates seven days a week, 10am to 10pm, with general admission set at $5, and top-of-the-line skating equipment available for a $7 rental fee. The 8,000 square-foot ice rink, which can accommodate up to 325 skaters, is operated and managed by Upsilon Ventures, LLC -- the project development company, which introduced The Pond at Bryant Park in 2005 to much acclaim and ongoing success.

The Gotham Girls Roller Derby All-Star Team swept the National Championship, the Northwest Knockdown Tournament, to take the title of #1 in the nation. Tamsen caught up with a few members to talk about their accomplishment.

GGRD has had a hard road to this year's win. In the first year of inter-league play, Gotham lost its home practice rink, the Skate Key in the Bronx, which had a major impact on the development of the league. In 2007, GGRD took first place in the Eastern Regional tournament but was knocked out in the first round of Nationals by the Kansas City Roller Warriors All-Stars, the eventual victors.

This year, buoyed by a phenomenal winning streak which currently numbers 12 consecutive bouts, GGRD won first place inthe Derby in Dairyland Eastern Regional Tournament in Madison, Wisconsin. GGRD's Bonnie Thunders was named tournament MVP for both the Eastern Regional Tournament and the National Tournament.

The CW11's Tamsen Fadel was the emcee for the 2nd Annual Gal To Gal Foundation's Virtual Walk. The foundation helps "grant the wishes and contribute to resources for Stage IV breast cancer patients and their families." The event is in partnership with Design Her Gals.

The New York Liberty will play the first regular season WNBA outdoor game in history when they host the Indiana Fever in Arthur Ashe Stadium at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, also known as the home of the US Open.
