Where The Insurance Jobs Are

insurance0419.jpg

With the aging population, health care remains the go-to field for job growth, among the positions expected to have greater demand in coming years: nurses, medical scientists, physician assistants, skin-care specialists and dental hygienists.

Information-technology also will be adding jobs as companies that have been sitting on cash will want to upgrade their technology to gain a competitive edge as the economy emerges from the recession. Another field that is currently hiring across the country, but specifically in our area is the insurance field.

Victor Muro, MBA, CLU, ChFC, would make an excellent in-studio appearance talking about how he is hiring or Financial Integrity Strategies, LLC, the official broker for National Life of Vermont in the New York tri-state region. In addition to the 200 people Victor already has, he is hiring about twenty new workers.

Victor just opened a new office on Staten Island in addition to two others he has in Jericho, Long Island, and Morristown, New Jersey. Victor's main office is about six blocks from WB-11 at 733 Third Avenue by 46th Street! He plans on opening at least one more office in 2011, perhaps, two.

Alot of what he said about people not thinking about taking care of their families after death and financial future is true. Would want to see more of him. He is handsome and speaks well.

I thought this segment was very informative, but short. My husband and I are entering the stage in our life when thinking about retirement is important. I would like to hear more about what Mr. Muro has to say about how to plan properly for retirement.

Posted by Chinda Samms at April 19, 2011 10:25 AM

I am graduating with my MBA this year and most people are negative about employment today. The man this morning, Victor Muro was inspiring and positive. I wish you allowed him more time to talk further in detail. but I'm motivated by it. Do you have his contact information?

Posted by Tara Hodgens at April 19, 2011 10:33 AM

Thanks for the guest speaker today; Vic Muro. He said a few things about the job market that sparked my curiousity about the financial services market, that I never heard in my college advisor sesssions. Do you have is phone number?

Posted by D Schneider at April 19, 2011 10:35 AM

As a local business owner here in NYC I struggle paying my bills weeke to week. Mr Muro was exactly correct about poor retirement planning and life insurance needs...but how can I afford it? Mr. Muro please respond !

Posted by Anthony Charles at April 19, 2011 10:35 AM

The guest speaker Mr. Muro earlier today was excellent, however, the interview was fast and short. Mr. Muro nailed several issues around the quest for top income levels and solid jobs. The peril of poor financial planning and risk taking in the US along with the ratio of jobs lost oversea is a real blow to our great nation. I strongly recommend having him on the program to expand on his views. Mr. Muro was very well spoken, however, more important it is very real.

I saw Victor Muro speak several times at both industry and community events. Although he seemed a bit rushed and nervous on live TV, he is one of the indutry's leading motivators and presenters. He is a community leader who invests both his time and money. He was correct about career roadblocks and what one should do to get ahead. Viewers should have taken notes from him.

Regarding Victor Muro earlier today... A guy wishes his borther happy birthday and blows a kiss to his daughter on live T.V. after talking all sophisticated about buisness clearly exhibits a talent to stike a balance between family values and business success. Being a top ranked Life Insurance adviser and retirement planner for 20 plus years has me wishing I worked with this man instead of my current "Well Known" company. HAVE HIM ON AGAIN!!

"Victor Muro hit on some key disturbing facts this morning rearding how many Americans are grossly underinsured with Life Insurance; he's right I am probably one of them. It is hard to trust anybody today, so I put it off. Can you have him on again to elaborate on this specific topic. I read his profile, which is very impressive."

"Vic Muro was sharp and had a great personal touch to him. Very classy to acknowledge both Passover and Easter wishes during Holy week..."

"That guy Vic this morning was spot on about young college graduates needing to differentiate themselves in todays competing corporate America.. I would love to hear more about how to do taht from him, being he propelled himself from nothing."

"is that victor muro guy an actor or ture financial consultant?guys this good looking and well spoken can't really be that genuine or intelligent.i'd like to see him in a live debate with trump or buffet they would eat him up alive."

Very informative!!! Captured my interest. Would like to hear more from this Victor Muro. He seems to know what he is talking about.

I have always known Victor Muro. When my husband had just recently passed away, me and my 4 children were devastated. We were not thinking clearly, but luckily a close friend to us was. He highly recommended a man named Victor to help us financially. When I came to find out it was Victor Muro I knew me and my children were in the best of hands. Victor sat with me on a professional level with heartfelt compassion towards my emotional state. I told him I trust him fully with the well being of my children. His knowledge and professionalism is execeptional. He made sure that I now as a single parent have my fiancial plans in place. Unfortunately people dont't always plan well enough for an unexpected devastation when we are still at a young age. Thank God my husband made some financial plans and thank God me and my children have Victor to help make the most of those plans. Victor has gone above and beyond for us with the up most respect towards our feelings. I feel we are well taken care of and he is always in touch to keep me updated. We are blessed to have him in our lives and could never thank him enough.

Loved the segment with Mr. Muro. His comment that people spend more on their cars than life insurance is right on. As poor as I am, I make protecting my family a priority. And having two college aged children,I am worried about their job prospects. Would love to hear more from him regarding the future of MBA's and where they should focus their energies in searching for a job. And Happy Birthday Nicolette!

As a recent college graduate I feel that Mr. Muro's segment was very interesting. Lots of people are very uneducated about their futures and believe that materialistic features of their lives are most important. More young people should make better investments for a future security in life. It was a great interview and very helpful.

Loved the segment with Victor Muro. He hit right on the mark when he said how many people do not have Life Insurance or any financial planning and I hope he got through to the WPIX viewers regarding this. He was very informitive. Also having a college daughter I am worried aobut her future in the career world.

I thought this segment was very informative. Seeing families who have lost loved ones and had no life insurance protection was devastating. I'm a total advocate for it as well as retirement protection, especially knowing that social security will most likely be null and void for me. Becoming a financial advisor is something I have always thought about doing since I'm a total believer in it and being able to educate people on the importance of it would be very rewarding to me. Plus, I'm my own boss and will be building a business that is mine and I can leave to my children as a legecy. How can I find out more?
