Today, March 11th from 11am-3pm, Santa Fe Gourmet will be handing out free samples of their crab cake recipe, made with their Original Chipotle Mayonnaise product. The giveaway will take place at Fairway Market's Harlem location: 2328 12th Avenue, between 132nd and 133rd Streets
Available in both regular and light versions, Original Chipotle Mayonnaise is a sophisticated spread that can be incorporated into a range of recipes, from savory appetizers through dessert. Its smoky, creamy, bold flavors are a direct result of the high-quality ingredients in the jar: roasted chipotle puree, shallots, red bell peppers, garlic and paprika.
Besides Fairway Market, Santa Fe Gourmet's Original Chipotle Mayonnaise can be found at other gourmet stores, including Zabar's, Gourmet Garage, Stew Leonard's, and certain Shop Rites throughout the NY/NJ/CT tri-state area. For more information, log on to their website at www.chipotlemayo.com

This is in response to those parents who are upset about their kids having to take precautions because of another student’s allergy. Four months ago my 20 year old niece died because of a severe food allergy, and if precautions were taken she would still be here with us. Our family is devastated, and the pain does not end. This was preventable. These allergies are not an easy thing for a family to live with. I don't think people understand how deadly this is, and I want to stress that. By sending the child with the allergy to school, those parents are trying to give their child some type of normalcy, in an otherwise difficult life. For that Childs entire life those parents will worry themselves sick because at any moment their Childs life can end over a little peanut. So if the kids have to wash out their mouths so what, and if they can’t have peanut butter save it as a weekend treat, and if they can’t have a party in school, that’s not the worst thing in life. The worse thing in life is that little girl losing her life and her family going through the heart ache that our family has and is still going through. These parents have to stop being so selfish. Stop setting a horrible example for their children, by teaching them to not care about another human being. Instead, turn this into a positive experience and be supportive of a family in their extremely and unfortunate situation.
