Fashion Tips for Shorter Men

fashion0315.jpg

For women, appearing taller is as easy as putting on a pair of heels. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for men. So we're sharing wardrobe secrets that guys can use to feel taller, more confident and completely pulled together with Dale Sudakoff of Dale Style.

• Cuffs clip the ankle so opt for no cuffs to elongate the leg
• A monochromatic outfit elongates the frame
• Pointy shoes help to lengthen the body
• Keep several buttons unbuttoned to elongate the neckline

Thanks for that informative piece. Granted I fall in between tall and vertically challenged but those were some great tips

For shorter men, standing out in a crowd can be difficult. Taller men naturally have people drawn to them. Dale's suggestions make these men look taller, yet she strips away a lot of their unique personality. For me, I am drawn to men with flair who know how to express themselves. The outfits that made them 'look' taller also made them look more conformist which takes away some of their personal power.
I am of the opinion that men who can work on their inner power can pull off almost anything. In fact, breaking the 'rules' can be seen as having extra confidence.
The tips that Dale gives are great for men just starting out in their fashion journey. As they evolve, they should make their own rules.
Last, I would warn short men about pointy toed shoes. I have found that pointy toes can make shorter men look like they are wearing skis on their feet, plus really pointed shoes are very trendy which can make shorter men look like they are trying too hard.

Amazing segment..Dale, your insights were fantastic. Every single example was drastically different after the "adjustments" were made.

You should make this a continuous part of your show - she is fantastic.

Great information. My family is filled with handsome, stylish, beautifully dressed "vertically challenged" men who would LOVE these tips. Dale's talent is obvious and I do hope that you feature her often on your morning show. She makes it sound easy and I'm sure that she's got many helpful tips for men and women.

Nice piece, Dale! You have a great presence on TV, and you made all of the men look great as well.
