Wakeup Workout: Red Carpet Ready

Lights, camera, action! As Hollywood's biggest stars gear up for the Oscars, we're gearing you up for your big event! Whether it's an upcoming wedding or high school reunion, Spain of the Active Center for Health & Wellness in Hackensack, NJ stopped by with moves to get you in tip top shape.

The Active Center for Health & Wellness in Hackensack, NJ, has an entire special event fitness program that helps clients reach their goals for that big day, and then maintain them afterward.

Spain shared some of the following moves:
-A side lung with a bent over single arm row – This accomplishes working on your glutes, your quads, your core and your back muscles.

-An abdominal roll up into a bicep curl and shoulder press – This works on your abdominal muscles, biceps and shoulders.

-A side plank with a single arm rear delt fly – This works on your oblique’s, your core and shoulders.

-A medicine ball push up plank combo – This works predominately on your chest, your shoulders and your core.

-Explosive power reverse lunges – This works on your leg muscles, your glutes and your cardio.

Loved this segment, I'm getting married in the summer and will be sure to use some of the tips from the trainers. May stop by the center to get some one on one training!

Great workout! I use medicine balls all the time and it was good to get some new ideas. Combining exercises and muscle groups makes for more intensive training.

This was actually a great segment, this was my first time watching the Morning News and I had a good 40 minutes to burn before leaving for work and decided to follow along. I feel great and it actually helped me start my day with more energy.

Thanks for the tips

Side planks (and planks in general) are GREAT for toning the abdominal area!! Great tips, Spain should come back more often and share his ideas!

What a great segment! I was so excited to see Spain on WPIX. He is an outstanding trainer. The Active Center for Health & Wellness is lucky to have him as well as the other trainers. I would love to see them on TV more often.

I've been working out for years and it's always nice to have something fresh to build into my workout. Thank you!

There was some quality workout idea there guys.
Can you get them on every morning? It'd be good to wake up and do this rather than walk to the gym!

This was really informative! I've already reached out to Active Center for Health & Wellness to make an appointment with Spain! It would be great if you could feature them more often.
