Kurt Warner On Super Bowl, Duracell

kurt0131.jpg

Superbowl Champion and MVP Kurt Warner stopped by our studio to talk about his work with Duracell to support volunteer fire departments. We also talked about his Super Bowl predictions, the NFL labor situation, and all things football.

There are 23,000 volunteer fire departments in the U.S. Half of the departments don’t have enough personal alert system devices and 65 percent don’t have enough portable radios to equip all responders on a shift*.

The Power Those Who Protect Us battery donation program was created by Duracell, in partnership with the National Volunteer Fire Council, to provide batteries to volunteer firefighters to help power the life-saving devices used by them throughout the year in their communities.

With the help of consumers, the program goal is to provide 10 million batteries to all 23,000 volunteer fire departments in the U.S. to power everyday devices and life-saving equipment used to keep firefighters and their communities safe every day.

Beginning February 1, 2011, for every specially marked Duracell CoppperTop 10 pack of AA or AAA batteries purchased, Duracell will donate one battery. For every specially marked Duracell CoppperTop 20 pack of AA or AAA batteries purchased, Duracell will donate two batteries.

People can direct their battery donation by going to www.duracell.com/protect and selecting by zip code to identify a volunteer fire department in their area to receive their battery donation.

For more information or to get involved in Duracell’s Power Those Who Protect Us battery donation program, visit www.duracell.com/protect and/or www.facebook.com/duracell.
