Colgate Women's Games To Be Held At MSG

colgate0125.jpg

More than 11,000 girls and young women visit Brooklyn every weekend for six weeks in December and January, from all over the East Coast. Many travel from Philadephia, Delaware and Virginia all the way up to Boston.

From elementary school through college and beyond, these girls compete for ribbons and medals and the chance to compete at Madison Square Garden for trophies and educational grants in aid. The Games have produced 22 Olympians, hundreds of age/grade national champions, but more importantly, countless changed lives! Participants are also some of the most heavily recruited college athletes in the nation.

Lisa Mateo interviews a spokesperson from the Colgate Women's Games as well as 3 athletes. The finals take place Jan 29th at Madison Square Garden.
