Video Game Workouts For Kids

game1208.jpg

There's dodgeball, tag, soccer and the rope climb. Now you can add activity based video games to the curriculum of many gym classes thanks to a family owned and operated company called iGame4.

iGame4 works with physical education teachers and certified personal trainers to develop a curriculum that's fun, active and educational. During the program, children in grades K-12 rotate through up to twelve stations of different games, while heart rates and calories burned are anonymously tracked. Games include dance, canoeing, boxing, tennis and baseball. Each station features a 100" screen, projector, data tracking devices, video game system, and an activity based video game.

iGame4 is also a part of the President's Challenge to live more active and healthier lives. For more information on the different packages they offer to schools, log onto www.iGame4.com.

Wow! Wpix gave the program a lot of air time. The kids seemed to be having a great time, and even the news reporters joined in. This should be a nice incentive for the program. The banner showed up well, but I wish they had mentioned the program name a few more times.
Good Luck with the program!!

This is a great program. We loved participating as a family at the iGame4 night at Merrimac! Thought I was in ok shape, but boy did my arms hurt after rowing! We went right out and got the resort game, and we've been having a lot of fun doing it at home and moving a bit more!
