Brooklyn Marching Band Needs $35K To Compete In Nat'l Championship

The Medgar Evers College Preparatory School Marching Band from Crown Heights needs $35,000 to compete in this weekend's national championship in Atlanta.
The band dubbed "The East Coast Ocean of Soul" consists of 126 drummers, horn players and dancers.
Greg Mocker will shared their story on the PIX News at 10pm last night and we had about 60 students live to inspire New Yorkers to donate.

While the cause is good, the delivery was poor!
I live two blocks from the WPIX headquaters in midtown manhattan as do many residents in the Tudor City area. I do not appreciate being awoken by loud band music starting at 7AM. This is not an intelligent way to elicit monetary contributions from the public.
