Billy Burke Talks About VH1 Save the Music Foundation

bily1110.jpg

Billy Burke was a presenter at the VH1 Save the Music Foundation Gala in New York City last night. He is a huge supporter of the cause and is working with the foundation by giving a nice percentage of his album sales from his solo album, Removed, to STM.

Billy is best known to fans as playing Kristen Stewart's father Charlie Swan in the Twilight Saga films. He also has a series regular role on TNT's Rizzoli & Isles, and has two feature films coming out this spring.

In February, he has the Summit Film Drive Angry where he plays a dark cult-leader opposite Nicolas Cage. In March he showcases another intriguing and ominous character in the film Red Riding Hood.

I watched the interview this morning while this hypocrite spoke about his album and acted like he cared about saving the music but when Sukanya asked him to help he gave excuses and made the reluctant statement 'I could make a call to Save the Music.' It is pitiful that Sukanya even had to ask him to help because if we really cared about Saving the Music that would have been the first words out of his mouth instead of his album. GO SUKANYA for helping show his true colors. Someone should follow up to see if he really helped those kids. I am an advid Twilight fan and he has completely turned me off with his inconsideration and lack of commitment to the organization he promotes!

Hi K. Scott -

Just so you know, he actually gives a high percentage of his album sales to VH1's Save the Music Foundation. So promoting his album actually helps drive more money into the foundation and in turn helps build music programs in schools across the country. If you go to his website www.billyburke.net you will find informaiton there stating this. You can also check out the foundation's website as they have included the same information. You should do your research before making such statements.
