Wakeup Workout: MILF (Mothers Interested in Living Fit) Boot Camp

Mind Over Matter Health and Fitness was founded in 2004 to provide busy New Yorkers an accessible service that would help integrate fitness into their lifestyle. MOM's mission is to provide certified, friendly, reliable healthcare professionals specializing in areas such as Personal Training, Yoga, Pilates, & Private Boot Camp Classes. They also have an emphasis in Pre-Natal and Postpartum Fitness. Whether in your home, office or even outdoors, MOM trainers are equipped with the skills to turn any existing space into your own private health club, complete with your very own private masseuse.
Joshua Margolis from Mind Over Matter Health and Fitness stopped by with simple exercises are designed to get moms back to their pre-pregnancy figure. They can be done at home, outdoors, or on the road. If the little one is up, no problem. We can incorporate him or her into the exercise. It can be a bonding experience for mommy and baby.
We went learned these exercises:
• Mommy and Me Push-Ups - Work chest, triceps, shoulders, core and hips
• Sidesteppers - Target glues and hamstrings
• Ab Rockers - Strengthen abs, core and lower back
• Side Waves - Work obliques and abductors
• Back Swimmers - Target glutes and hamstrings
Mind Over Matter is also offering a continuing MILF Boot Camp for all our downtown mommies. Regardless of how old your little one is, if you're a mom, you qualify! Mind Over Matter offers several outdoor Boot Camp style group workouts in New York City's best outdoor gym - Central Park. During our high-energy 60 minute Boot Camp classes, you'll do a total body workout.
The Workout includes:
• Warm-Up - 5 minutes
• Cardio - 20 minutes
• Upper Body - Push ups, back and shoulder movements
• Core Work - Crunches, rotation and stabilization movements
• Lower Body - Squats, squat thrusts, lunges, jumps
• Stretch - Cool-down dynamic stretching
