Thandie Newton, Tessa Thompson Star In Tyler Perry's 'For Colored Girls'

Actresses Thandie Newton and Tessa Thompson stopped by to talk about their roles as troubled sisters Tangie and Nyla in the new Tyler Perry movie For Colored Girls.

Adapted from Ntozake Shange's 1975 play For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf , the film tells the story of seven women, who are only known by color (Lady in Red, Lady in Blue, Lady in Yellow, etc.), represented in a collection of 20 poems, revealing different issues that impact women in general and women of color in particular. Newton and Thimpson's co-stars include Janet Jackson, Anika Noni Rose and Phylicia Rashad.

For Colored Girls opens in theaters on November 5.
