Michael Imperioli came by today to discuss The Hungry Ghosts, a 2009 film that Imperioli both wrote and made his directorial debut on.
The Hungry Ghosts takes the Buddhist belief that hungry ghosts are a spiritual metaphor for people's need for fulfillment through superficial and material means and applies that to five New Yorkers and their intersecting lives of satiating their spiritual appetites.
The Hungry Ghosts boasts an ensemble cast including Imperioli's co-stars from his role on critically acclaimed HBO drama The Sopranos, Steven Schirripa and Sharon Angela.
Although Hungry Ghosts is Imperioli's first time in the director's chair, Imperioli is also an accomplished actor, best recognized for playing Christopher Moltisanti on the Sopranos, for which he won an Emmy and SAG Award as well as a Golden Globe nomination.
The Hungry Ghosts made it's US premiere at the Santa Barbara Film Festival on February 5, but will be making a wide release on October 1.

Headaches, shortness of breath, tight muscles and fatigue are only some of the ailments that can result from poor posture, a widespread condition today, especially for those hunched over desks and computers.
Dr. Beverley Marr of Stamford Healthcare Associates has come up with a solution, The SOAR Method for Perfect Posture, a 15-minute sequential stretching and strengthening program that targets all major muscle groups, particularly the core, and trains the body to stand up straighter and taller.
NECK STRETCH
Improves flexibility in the neck, which is crucial for proper posture. Forward head carriage is a common misalignment of the neck, especially for women and it puts undue pressure on the base of the neck. This can cause tension headaches and neck pain, among other ailments. This stretch counters those effects and encourages the head to rest in proper alignment above the neck and shoulders.

Understanding that these are just things and ultimately not really all that important will save you countless hours of stress as well as unnecessary attorney’s fees.

Fight Bullying: Know Where To 'Draw Your Line'

MTV's "A Thin Line" campaign unveiled "Draw Your Line" - a new interactive, online visualization tool that spotlights all the ways young people around the United States are taking action to stop the spread of digital abuse - including cyberbullying, sexting and all forms of digital harassment.
"Draw Your Line" was inspired by 24 year-old Michael Bastianelli's winning entry for the "Redraw the Line" Challenge, which called on America's youth to imagine innovative digital solutions to help stop the spread of digital abuse. Bastianelli spoke about personally having been affected by online bullying and harassment.
MTV vice president of public affairs Jason Rzepka also joined Bastianelli this morning to speak about bullying.

Highly decorated Olympic gold medalist Apolo Anton Ohno stopped by to talk about his new book Zero Regrets.
Zero regrets. It’s a philosophy not just about sport but about life. School, business, academics, love—anything and everything. It’s complicated and yet not. You have to figure out who it is you want to be. Not what you want to be—who. There has to be a vision, a dream, a plan. Then you chase that with everything you’ve got.
Over three consecutive Olympic games, Apolo Ohno has come to symbolize the very best of the competitive spirit—remaining equally gracious in victory and defeat, always striving to improve his performance, and appreciating the value of the hard work of training as much as any reward it might bring. In Zero Regrets, Apolo shares the inspiring personal story behind his remarkable success, as well as the hard-won truths and strategies he has discovered in good times and bad.
Zero Regrets: Be Greater Than Yesterday is available in bookstores now.
