How To Protect Yourself From Catching Lice

Did you know it takes about 30 seconds for lice to spread from one person to another? Prevention is better than cure and Cozy Friedman, owner of Cozy Cuts For Kids, was here with ways to prevent your kids from getting lice.

How To Prevent Catching Lice
- Do NOT wash your child's hair everyday.
- When you do shampoo, use a safe, natural anti-lice formula.
- Teach your child to never share brushes, hats, helmets, scarves, etc.
- Check your child's hair frequently for lice

How To Check For Lice
- Part hair in straight line down the back of the head to view scalp.
- Check for Nits (Nits are tiny white/gray colored eggs)
- Remember to check behind ears.

How To Treat Lice
- Don't panic & Call your pediatrician.
- Clean all brushes & combs
- Apply a few drops of olive oil to child's scalp and hair
- Be sure to check everyone in the household.
- Notify school Nurse
