PETCO's Four-Legged Fashion

Chunky knits, camel coats, rocker chic. They're the hottest fall fashions for dogs! Nick Spadea of PETCO and Katie Kauss of PEOPLEPets.com were here to explain the lastest fashion trends for man's best friend.

PETCO and PEOPLEPets.com are hosting their Look Good While Doing Good fashion event on Thursday, Sep. 16th from 4-8pm at PETCO Union Square location (860 Broadway). Guests are invited to walk the green carpet, have their photo taken and receive a preview of four-legged fall fashion. PETCO is trying to raise $1 million for National Guide Dog Month. Guests are invited to donate at the event and during the entire month of September at all PETCO locations.

CHIHUAHUA - BEBE
Pup Crew gray sleeveless chunky knit dog sweater, $14.99
Chunky knits are huge this fall for human and pet fashionistas! It's the trendiest & most comfortable way to stay warm and cozy this season. BeBe is wearing a gray chunky turtleneck sweater -- neutral tones like this gray are also in for fall. Notice that it's sleeveless so still gives BeBe enough room to walk comfortably, but the wool will keep her warm. The two brown buttons attached at the base of the turtleneck are adorable details, but can be removed for extra warmth.

This fall, you're going to see neutral colors like this camel everywhere-- including on your pets! Tamara is wearing this camel trench that's lined with soft, hot pink fleece that will keep her warm during cold fall days and nights. There are two large Velcro straps that connect under the belly and neck that make it easy for you to take it on and off. The belt and button details give this look even more style. There's even a leash port on the back for attaching leash to collar.

Another trend you're going to see this fall is a lot of biker chic details - black leather, buckles, lace-up details, etc. And for pets, we found this tough little black tank complete with a heart and fleur-de-lis! The black and grey colors toughen up the look enough for Franny to rock it on the street.

We love this skull & crossbones Mohawk hoodie that Jamie has on-obviously, this hoodie is for super cool dogs only! The hoodie comes in a deep rich fall olive color and even has a faux fur Mohawk on the hood. The brown skull & crossbones patch is a fun detail and the gold metal studs all around the hoodie really add style. There's also a leash port in the back that allows the leash to connect to your dog's collar through the garment.
