Legendary Coach Lou Holtz Joins Dr. Pepper In Scholarship Giveaway

Dr. Pepper is kicking off the college football season with a million dollar challenge.
A long-time supporter of college football, Dr Pepper has joined forces with College Football Hall of Fame head coach Lou Holtz to give consumers and students the chance to win more than $1 Million in scholarships throughout the 2010 college football season.
Starting Sept. 1, Dr Pepper will give away a daily $1,000 scholarship in the $1,000 a Day Tuition Giveaway as well as the chance for three lucky fans to win the $123,000 Scholarship Promotion & Contest.
On, Wednesday, September 1st, legendary coach Lou Holtz who has been a staple in college football from his playing days at Kent State to his national championship season with Notre Dame avaiable to discuss this program as well as his predictions and thoughts regarding this year’s season.

It is encouraging that a sponsor such as Dr. Pepper is providing scholarship money as a prize. Afterall, isn't the primary purpose of college to educate. College Football has such a negative connotation attached to it. It is nice to see that there is a positive related to college football.
