Councilman Greenfield Urges Brooklyn Communities To Aid In Flood Relief Efforts In Pakistan

Councilman David G. Greenfield will hold a joint press conference Tuesday, September 7th at 12pm with Jewish and Pakistani community leaders, as well as other elected officials, to highlight the need for relief in Pakistan and to encourage monetary and food donations to assist those affected by the deadly flooding in Pakistan.
“I represent part of the largest Pakistani community in America. The flooding in Pakistan is devastating and is being felt throughout the community here in the United States,” said Councilman Greenfield, who represents what is commonly referred to as “Little Pakistan”, which runs along Coney Island Avenue in the Midwood section of Brooklyn.
At the conference, Councilman Greenfield will present canned food to the Council of Peoples Organization. Additionally, Councilman Greenfield will present a check to the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee’s (JDC) Pakistan Relief Effort.
