Commissioner Joseph F. Bruno Talks About National Preparedness Month

In honor of National Preparedness Month, President Barack Obama urges Americans to prepare a disaster plan, gather emergency supplies, and get involved in community preparedness efforts.
OEM and the Citizen Corps Council will host events throughout the city in September to teach New Yorkers about preparing for all types of emergencies. The celebration kicks off on September 2 in all five boroughs and you can stop by a kick-off event near you.
Commissioner Joseph F. Bruno stopped by to tell us all about it and what the City is doing to prepare for Hurricane Earl. For more information, visit www.nyc.gov.
