'Rolling Stone' Selects Top 100 Beatles Songs
Rolling Stone released their first-ever list of the 100 greatest Beatles songs as part of a special interest collectors edition publication that coincides with the 40th anniversary of the Beatle's final album, Let It Be. Here is their Top 10 Greatest Beatles Songs:
1. "A Day in the Life"
2. "I Want to Hold Your Hand"
3. "Strawberry Fields Forever"
4. "Yesterday"
5. "In My Life"
6. "Something"
7. "Hey Jude"
8. "Let It Be"
9. "Come Together"
10. "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"

Across the Universe - song by my guy John Lennon, although "While my guitar gentle weeps" is definately a winner along with "Dear Prudence" But my favorite which was not listed is "IN MY LIFE"

Too many hits in their career years to have only ten favorites..I like Norwegian Wood number one..others like early stuff like "I wanna hold your hand" How about Sgt. Peppers Lonely Heart Club Band? All good....

Got news for you Beatle Fans, You can;t really put their songs in any order. Because what you love today will be replaced by another tomorrow. If you want to get technical about the whole thing. ABC took a poll of songwriters as to what they thought was the best Beatle song ever written. The answer they came up with in overwhelming support was "In My Life." To me there is no greatest Beatles song of all time. They are for the most part all great. The only thing that sets them apart is the musical complexity of the song. You can't really compare "She Loves You" with "A Day In The Life."
That being said it's hard to compare "A Day In The Life" with anything on the "Abbey Road" Album.
Does anybody see where going here? Any true Beatles fan could never have any one favorite song of all time.
