Kids Let Their Imaginations Grow At The Imagination Playground!
Having a healthy imagination is an important part of a child's life. One local playground is making it their number one priority. Imagination Playground Park incorporates movable objects, and a manipulable environment to encourage child-directed, unstructured free play. Features include a sandpit, cascading water channel, slide, rope climbing structure, masts and pulleys, and a listening forest.
The park is located at Burling Slip in the South Street Seaport, and is open from 9 am to 7 pm daily for the summer and from 2:30 pm to 7 pm daily during the school year.
Imagination Playground Park is a collaboration between the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation and Rockwell Group. For more information, and to find out how you can make a donation, log onto imaginationplayground.org.
