Eli Roth Gives Us The Supernatural Look On "The Last Exorcism"

Eli Roth’s horror flicks have featured foes like flesh-eating bacteria and murderous surgeons, but his latest, The Last Exorcism, takes on the Devil himself. Eli chatted with PIX Morning News today about the upcoming film and his love for scary movies.
The Last Exorcism, which Eli co-produced, portrays “found footage” of a documentary about a Protestant minister, who agrees to exorcize a farmer’s daughter. He originally intends to expose the lies behind his previous 47 “exorcisms,” though he learns that this final one is the real deal.
Eli broke into the horror genre with Cabin Fever, which he directed, co-wrote, and produced. His next film, Hostel, hit number one at the box office its opening weekend. Eli caught the attention of director Quentin Tarantino, who called him the next big name in horror and invited Eli to direct a fake trailer for the film Grindhouse. Eli also appeared in Tarantino’s most recent movie, Inglourious Basterds, where he played Brad Pitt’s right hand man, the “Bear Jew.”
The Last Exorcism opens August 27. Watch the trailer here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmrSR5O9QXc) and learn more by visiting its website (http://www.thelastexorcism.com/index.html).
