Top Back-to-Grade School Fashion That's Also Affordable

Sure, we want our children to look cute as they head back to school. But their clothes must also be practical! So, here with fashionable and functional clothing for kids is Fashion Expert Kevin Lennox. He showed us some A+ fashions for kids kindergarten to 5th grade.
Look 1: Dylan (First Grade)
This season boys' tops are taking cues from vintage sportswear, but are still built to last with
reinforced seams that add long-lasting durability. Down below, Dylan has a pair of jeans
from Lands' End's newly designed collection of denim that have four individual fits and five
washes. This one is the Straight-leg fit that is cut straight through the hip, thigh and leg with a
5-pocket style that are just like Dad's favorite pair. On his back we've got the lightweight,
super durable Featherlight 100 backpack to lug around everything he needs this school year.
Fleece Track Jacket- $26.50
Graphic T-shirt- $14.50
5 Pocket Classic Straight Jean- $25.50
Desert Boot- $49.50
Featherlight 100 Backpack- $29.50
All from Lands' End, www.landsend.com
Look 2 & 3: Gracie (Fourth Grade) & Elizabeth (Second Grade)
We all know that girls are made of sugar and spice, this season their wardrobe's truly reflect
that as you can see on sisters Gracie & Elizabeth. Gracie's look has a bit of an edge with the
studding detail around the pockets and on her adorable little flats, but she keeps it sweet with
a cute cardigan and bright pink messenger bag. Her sister Elizabeth starts out sugary on top
with this cotton candy motif t-shirt, but gets spicey with a houndstooth shirt and sassy faux
leather boots. Both girls are wearing both sides of their personalities with style!
On Gracie-
Mossimo Cardigan- $14.99
Mossimo T-shirt- $9.99
Mossimo Skinny Denim- $16.99
Xhilaration Flats- $14.99
Embark Messenger Bag- $9.99
On Elizabeth-
Cherokee T-Shirt- $9.99
Cherokee Skirt- $12.99
Xhilaration Boot- $24.99
Both looks from Target, www.target.com
Look 4: Alex (Kindergarten)
Who doesn't love a preppy little kid right? Which is why I love this little jacket on Alex. The
shape and styling have a vintage Members Only feel to it, and those adorable corduroy
elbow pads are ridiculously cute, while also being very functional. But Alex isn't all prep,
which is why I put a cool plaid shirt underneath and some faded jeans to show he can hang
with the best of them!
Corduroy Trim Jacket: $48.00
Plaid Shirt: $26.50
Skinny Jeans: $29.50
All from Gap Kids, www.gap.com
Look 5: Noelle (Fifth Grade)
This look makes me wish I was a little girl, it's just so adorable. I mean a ruffle trench coat
for an 8 year old? Talk about chic! Fortunately for parents, this coat has plenty of function as
well. It's waterproof, fully lined and has a detachable hood, to keep Noelle perfectly
comfortable while looking effortlessly cool this school year. And her sneakers are missing
laces, they are actually laceless. Just slip on and go!
Ruffle Trench- $59.50
Rugby Stripe Scarf- $19.50
Tissue Turtleneck- $14.50
Stretch Slim Jean- $25.50
No lace Slip-on Shoes- $29.50
All from Lands' End, www.landsend.com
